How To Fix runDLL Error

Getting a runDLL error on startup is pretty common. The reason for this is because a program can’t get access to a certain code, corrupted registry entries or a malware has infected your computer. The message “The specified module could not be found” is usually the error message you will see. When a DLL file is damaged or missing, the programs that are using that file cannot load properly and a runDLL error message will appear on your screen. You can try to fix the runDLL problem manually or using a software.

How To Fix runDLL Errors In Windows:

1. Restart your computer and tap the F8 key until the Windows Advanced Options menu appears. Start Windows in “Safe Mode No Networking and” press enter.

2. Start your antivirus program and let it scan your computer. You should also start your antispyware program and let it search for malicious items that your antivirus program can’t detect. If you don’t have an antispyware program installed, I recommend you get one instantly. If your antivirus and spyware programs detect viruses, spyware and other suspicious codes, delete them and restart your computer. If this doesn’t fix your runDLL problem, continue to step 3.

3. If the above solution doesn’t fix your problems, your Windows runDLL32.exe file is properly corrupt. You need to repair your system using the Windows installation disc. Restart your computer and boot from the DVD. Select your Windows installation and then enter the repair module. Windows will now reinstall the operating system and the runDLL32.exe file. Your data and files will not be affected, but make sure you backup important files, just in case something goes wrong.

If you want to stop the error loading message from appearing on startups, you need to enter the Windows registry editor and delete the process. To enter the Windows registry editor, open Run and type RegEdit and hit enter. If you don’t know exactly what to remove or change in the registry editor, don’t do it because if you make an error, you might corrupt your entire system. A better idea is to use a third party software, that can scan and fix driver problems without you having to touch the settings.
